Shipping address: Jim Wacker 4832 East Dartmouth Circle Mesa, AZ 85205 +1 (480) 981-6346 USA Black Velvet Chinese Dragon Suit (with Red/Gold dragon embroidery pants and jacket) -
Measurements (USA inches and lbs): - Height: 5'8" (68") - Neck: 14.5-15" - Shoulder(back) width: - Arm length: 21.5" (to wrist) - Wrist: 7" - Biceps: 12-14" - Bust: 42" - Waist: 37" (Please ensure they will fit from 35"-38") I'm wearing a relatively new pair Levi's 505 jeans (W33" x L29" ) and they fit perfectly (waist/inseam), but, probably stretched somewhat from several washes. - Hips: 38-40" - Thigh: 19-20" (Standing) or 20-21" (sitting or bending down). NOTE: Need some room in thighs to move around comfortable, not just standing, but, bending over or sitting as well. - Weight: 160-175lbs (typically) - Knee: 19" from bottom of foot to kneecap NOTE: Black "crushed" velvet (matte finish, not shiny or reflective under bright stage lights) material for both jacket and pants
NOTE: The embroidery is rather "heavy" in that it has a 3-Dimensional effect due to the thickness of multiple layers or passes of embroidery. NOTE: Please keep all dragon embroidery framed at least a couple of inches from the bottom to accommodate final inseam tailoring, if necessary. NOTE: Please make sure that waist supports some (3" or so) of adjustment range; elastic material can be used inside top trim to snug fit, but only at sides or back, not in front. NOTE: All hard materials (e.g., plastic buttons, metal zippers or studs, etc.) must be concealed under a thick amount fabric to avoid damage to the back guitars; this applies to both the jacket and pants. NOTE: The "lined" jacket is somewhat open when worn normally. When standing straight and with the jacket free-standing and arms straight, the open portion should be approximately 6" at the bust line. A regular thickness T-shirt, or similar, will be worn occasionally under the jacket; the specs given above exclude the T-shirt. The jacket needs to be non-binding and and should support free unrestricted movement, especially in the armpit area. Shoulder corners should retain their shape and be well-defined (i.e., not rounded off or drooping over time). The length of the jacket should be as shown in the photos. Although there are decorative "loop-style buttons," the jacket does not close completely to permit attaching the buttons. The jacket includes a multi-colored dragon head on the upper right front area; please keep the dragon situated and sized as shown in the photos to avoid guitar and strap from covering the dragon. The jacket also includes a similar but larger dragon head centered on the back. The jacket has dragons spanning both arms on the outer and front areas of the sleeves. Note that the jacket has a triangular end of sleeve (refer to photos) not the usual straight cut; ensure that the sleeve end is absent of "critical design" embroidery to ensure additional tailoring, if needed. Also note that a slight bell (flared ends) at the end of the sleeve is required, which is not as shown in the photos. The jacket should include the "shiny 6-pointed silver star" ("+" orientation on lower right front panel per the photos). NOTE: Each pant leg has a the dragon design that spans the front and outer portions of the legs, as shown most clearly in the various photos; the upper back of the pants also has another dragon head too. The leg dragons swerve from side to front as well along the length of the leg. may not include any other of the "symbols" depicted in the photos (e.g., no text letters or Chinese characters); only the dragon pattern on the pants. The kneecap measurement is needed for beginning of pants flare. The idea is to have more of a "fitted thigh," but not tightly so, fanning out to the bell/flare bottom from the knee downward. Diameter at knee is about 16" (standing); flare width (pants folded flat) not to exceed 13". Worn with size 8 (USA) oxford "lip-on" loafer shoe; check to see at least 1" of shoe tip when standing straight. The waist of the pants needs to be approx. 1" higher (longer) than the usual waistline location; refer to belly button location on photos. Take care to keep the flared (bell bottom) part of the pants legs in proportion with the overall look of the pants and dragon details. NOTE: There are more colors used in the red/gold embroidered dragon colors than might appear at first; please refer to the photos for more details. NOTE: Dry cleaning is probably required; however, regular washing would be best, if the fabric that is used can support it. The materials used should support long-life and color retention, yet be light-weight and cool under heavy stage lighting (it's black after all and that gets hot enough just being that color ). NOTE: If this turns out well, I might have to order a second suit, in white, with the exact Same as picture embroidery work on it; therefore, you might want to keep track of the design and layout details.
